The Association of Health Information Managers of Quebec is dedicated to developing and maintaining the expertise of its members and to their professional recognition as leaders in the management of health information in Quebec.
Its action is organized around three strategic axes:
- Establish and promote the central role of health information in the continuum of health care.
- Concentrate cutting-edge expertise in all fields of health information use.
- Maintain the competence of its members by disseminating this expertise adapted to their needs.
It therefore works to raise awareness of the role of the medical archivist, which is to ensure the access, preservation and protection of health information, in addition to offering continuing education and publications to its members.
